Troubleshooting
“Close Rekordbox, then try again”
Section titled ““Close Rekordbox, then try again””Sync and Save write to Rekordbox’s library, which cannot be open at the same time. Quit Rekordbox, then repeat.
“Rekordbox changed since the preview”
Section titled ““Rekordbox changed since the preview””Something changed after you opened the preview. Close it and preview again.
A stick is refused
Section titled “A stick is refused”Selector Studio writes only to an empty stick or one it exported to. A stick that Rekordbox exported to is never merged into. Use another stick. See Export to USB.
A track says its file is missing
Section titled “A track says its file is missing”The file moved or the drive is unplugged. Reconnect the drive, or use Locate… (beside Try again) to point at the new location. Smart crates with the Missing file rule list these tracks.
No key, or the wrong key
Section titled “No key, or the wrong key”Selector Studio uses the first source in your order that has a key. Change the order in Settings (Key). Hover a key to see its source.
A beat grid sits off the beat
Section titled “A beat grid sits off the beat”Open the track in the Edit view and use Edit grid. See Cues and beat grid. If many tracks are off, change the BPM & grid order in Settings.
Space does not play
Section titled “Space does not play”Space does nothing while the cursor is in a text field. Click outside the field first. In the set planner, Space plays whatever you picked last: the audition deck or the set.
Refresh everything Selector Studio worked out
Section titled “Refresh everything Selector Studio worked out”Refresh library in Settings works out beat grids, keys, waveforms, quality and energy again for every track that is not cut, in the background. Your crates, reviews, cues, edits and sets stay. A backup is made first. Beat grid nudges and ÷2 or ×2 are reset.
Free up space
Section titled “Free up space”Settings > Storage shows how much Selector Studio’s own copies (stems, audio cache, artwork, USB renders) use. Clear them there; your music files stay.
Undo something
Section titled “Undo something”⌘Z. Most changes are on one history: curves, clips, crates, sets, settings, drops, and what Sync brought in.
